The short version

The apps collect nothing. There are no accounts, no trackers and no advertising. Every place you mark, every check-off and every trip stays in the app's storage on your own device.

About this website: the web version counts page views anonymously — no cookies, no accounts, no stored IP addresses, nothing that identifies you. It just answers "how many people opened the page?" The mobile apps don't even do that.

Payments

Been There Premium ($3.99, one-time) is sold through our payment provider Polar. The checkout happens on Polar's site: they receive your email and payment details and issue your license key. We never see your card details — only the license key that unlocks Premium, which is stored on your device.

On iPhone and iPad: Been There Premium is a one-time in-app purchase ($3.99 USD, non-consumable) processed by Apple. Purchases and restores are tied to your Apple Account — the app's "Restore Purchases" brings Premium back on any device signed in with the same account. Polar license keys (been-there.i4alls.com) apply to the web and Android editions only.
